Low Carb Chili

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 pound Italian Sausage
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 14.5 ounce Crushed or Diced Tomato
  • 14.5 ounce Salt-Free Chicken Broth
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 whole Green Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1-2 tablespoon Olive Oil

Directions

Add olive oil to skillet.  Over medium heat saute onions until they just turn translucent, about 6 minutes.  Add garlic.  Saute one minute.  Empty onions and garlic in to crock pot.

Using the same skillet, brown ground beef and italian sausage.  Drain grease.  Add meat to crock pot.

Add chicken broth, diced/crushed tomatoes, green pepper, and spices to crock pot.  Stir well.  Cook on High 4 hours or Low for 8 hours.
